Ear Muff Advice Wanted

Hey gang,
I'm hoping to avoid ending up like my dad with pretty bad hearing loss from decades of shooting. I am looking to buy a pair of ear muffs, but don't really want the electronic type. Would some of you offer your suggestions/experience with the different brands out there? I see a lot of them, Leightner Leightning's, Peltor's, Radian's, to name a few.
I appreciate any advice,
Todd

Don't know about the other brands but I have a pair of Peltors that I use at the range and they are very comfortable.

I had ear moulds of my ear mad and they have a gasket/filter which stops loud noises but allows normal noise. They are comfortable and do not interfere with shooting, at the range I will use "muffs" over them.

RE: Ear Muff Advice Wanted

Thanks for your thoughts guys. Those ear molds sound like a great idea. I like the Peltors too, I have had them in the past. I decided to try something new and ordered a set of the Bilsom Leightnings as they had the highest NRR I could find, 31dB.
Thanks again, and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Todd
