Cranford Ezy Climb Rod Steps

I have used many various screw in treesteps and this review is on the rod steps by Cranford Ezy Climb. I currently use these because of the strength, sharp points which make them easy to start, and tapered screw ends that allow the step to be screwed in by hand. These steps are easily screwed into the tree all the way making the leverage very good. I have never found any to bend(carbon steel) and I have great confidence in these steps. Even occasional filing of the threads are done easily at season's end, I usually move my stands several times. The only drawback is they are a little bulky because they don't fold, and are a little heavier than most steps, but I personally prefer nonfolding steps. I give these steps a rating of 9.5 only because nothing is perfect.

RE: Cranford Ezy Climb Rod Steps

After using the Cranford folding steps for many years, I agree, the one piece Rod steps are the way to go!! I am using the Gametracker rod steps now and have been very happy with these as well. They are also made in the USA, and have the tapered machined screw for easy starting as well. Price wise you have to shop around. I have gotten these Gametracker steps for under $2.00 a piece, where as the EZY Rod steps are almost $4.00 a piece!! Big difference!! Either one is very well made, but I went the less expensive route!! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

&quot;Love them Longbeards!!!
