I have had a buck knife for almost 15yrs I believe. I haven't been able to find another one like it. It is a woodsman series but has the rubberized handle. Absolutely love this knife! If I were going to buy a new one though I would go with the cub series vs. a Buck. I don't particularly care for the new Bucks.

I have the Alpha Hunter Folding with rubberized handles, great knife, good edge holder and a snap to touch up.

I don't like metal body knives for hunting purposes, I prefer a good handle that is nonslip.

I have a Fixed Bladed Buck Model 103 Skinner. It's been a great knife over the last 20-25 years. It holds an edge like no other knife I've ever used.I have a couple of 110's and other fixed bladed Buck's.I prefer Case knives. Cold Steel makes some nice knives.I used to like Gerber until they went to China for production.

For the everyday knife, I use a Kershaw Ken Onion chive assisted opening. Great little knife, the assisted opening is a big plus also.

I use the Buck Zipper for the woods.

i haven't been impressed with any buck knife i have ever had. i think the gerbers hold a better edge and sharpen better than the bucks. for the last 5 years or so the only knife i have used is my leatherman tool, butchered and skinned dozens of deer and the blade is still sharp as the day i bought it ...and the saw comes in real handy also.
