RE: Rifle Rest Suggestons
ORIGINAL: North Texan Birdseed, hmmm. Never thought about that, but it makes sense. I'll have to try that. I used dried corn, peas and beans from the larder. They work great but, I get a watchful eye everytime it gets cloudy at the range. Not only will they likely blow up like a baloon but I can envision leaves growing out of my rests:D[:-]:D should I ever get caught in a good rain. |

:D:D:D
Most years around my parts, rain is not a problem. This year has been an exception. Kinda like the NFL officials putting popcorn in their flags so they don't put a players eye out. They tried it in Texas once. Had problems when the flags started popping. |
RE: Rifle Rest Suggestons
I bought a Bench Master Gun Rest about 8 years ago. This is something I wouldn't part with. you can find these at Cabela's for $124.99. I gave around $110 for mine years ago. The rest is sturdy and it makes properly sighting in a rife quick and painless. That is if your rifle is accurate and your scope tracks properly. In the Cabela's magazine it appears that they have one with the Cabela's brand name that is a close copy of the Bench Master for $99.99.
