Scent lock products, do they work???
 

I have been using various sprays and have been looking to pick of some new thermal base layers from Cabela's that have this scent lock technology. If I use the soap bag the clothes, use a scent lock face mask etc. will I really remove or just reduce my scent. I have seen many times in the past few seasons, older guy but only hunting a few seasons, that scent is a biggy and I have been snorted at and stomped (sp?) at a few times.

Do these clothes really help or are they just another way to drop a few $100?:):)

YOULL JUST REDUCE YOUR SCENT, DO YOU HUNT FROM THE GROUND OR UP IN A TREE STAND. I KNOW THEY HAVE BLINDS THAT HELP REDUCE YOUR SCENT.WHEN IAM UP IN MY TREE STANDS ILL TAKE DOE PEE PUT IT ON THE BRANCHES AROUND ME TO HELP REDUCE MY SCENT CAUSE MY SCENT SUIT I GOT IS A FREE CHEMICAL MILATARY MOP UP SUIT, HAVE YET TO SPOOK A DEER COMING BUY MY STAND AT 20FT. UP IN THE AIR!!

Yes and no .
Yes , they will reduce your scent . No , not permanently . I use MOPP suits too , they are vastly cheaper and work just as well . You can get them for $15 per set at Sportsmans Guide .

They work so to speak to a point. When the activated charcol becomes saturated with your stink and whatever is on the inside of the liner it has to be re-actived.. To re-activat the charcoal, heat has to be introduced. Unfortunatly the exterior shell material on most sent-loc suits would burn up at the prolonged re-activation tempuratures........Save your money and just keep the wind in your face.

The suits might work great for a little while but I would have to agree with Sc & Hutt, keep the wind in your face and save your money.

That is most important.
Also I wash my clothes in that scent removing stuff,
and always take a shower in it as well.
Then spray my boots and all with some cover scent.

But despite all that, if you are upwind from a deer, he/she will probably still smell you.

I have them all scent lok , scent blocker, suppresant and I think they are all a waste of money the only way is to stay clean and play the wind

I have one scent lok outfit and think I wasted my money. I think keeping clean and playing the wind are the lick!
