Cold Weather Gloves/Mittens

Do you guys prefer gloves, or mittens in cold weather still hunting, and why?

RE: Cold Weather Gloves/Mittens

I much prefer mittens although I do have a pair of thin glove in my mittens. The mittens help keep all the fingers warm and when I anticipate that I might have to shoot the large mittens come off and the thin gloves will protect my hand from the cold. The weather can get pretty cold here so I have to try and keep my hands as warm as possible.

I call them flops, but the ones with the fingers cut off and the mitten portion that folds back. I wear polyproplene gloves underneath and these flops in either wool or fleece. When cold I simply add a pair of hot hands to the mitten portion for added warmth.
