Benchvise

Looking to buy a reasonably priced benchvise and was wondering if anyone can make any suggestions. So far I've looked at the Tipton which seems alright. But the Hoppe's, for 13 bucks, seems to also do the same job. Any thoughts???

I hope that you are intending to use this benchvise for fireams cleaning and maintenance and not for sighting in rifles. In most cases rifles shoot to a different of point of impact when fired from any type of vise that does not allow them to recoil normally.

I just bought a Tipton from Ebay and so far pleased with it . Makes cleaning a gun that much easier, previously I was using one of those steel sighting in rigs for cleaning and the Tipton makes cleaning much easier.

Stubblejumper,

Yes, I only intend to use it for cleaning and not for sighting-in.
