Stealth Cam Digital
Checked my new Stealth Digital this weekend and all I can say is
I am impressed. Sooo much better than that junker I exchanged it for. I had it out for a week in 20-30 degree temps with cheapo batteries and they still showed full strength. I got twice as many pics of deer in that week than I got in 6 weeks with the other one.:D I got 0 pics of trees in the night (unlike the other one) I got WHOLE DEER, not just heads or tails (unlike the other one) AND, I didnt have to spend $100 extra just to download pics to my computer (unlike the other) I would recommend this cam to anybody who wants a digital!! I`d like to post some pics, but I will have to wait til they fix the pic posting problem:( |
RE: Stealth Cam Digital
how much did you pay???

RE: Stealth Cam Digital
Doughboy, I paid $300 from Cabelas, but you could probably find it a little cheaper
somewhere else. |
RE: Stealth Cam Digital
Indiana dude, Is the memory for the pictures removable? Essentially, what I'm asking is, if I walk in the woods but want to keep the camera up, can I just remove the memory put some new memory in and take the other home? Thanks

RE: Stealth Cam Digital
DeerT, yes the camera comes with 16 MB built in memory, but you can put
up to a 256MB flash card in it so you can swap cards and leave the cam up. |
RE: Stealth Cam Digital
lets see some pict's. also can you give us any type of review: battery on the camera, battery life on sensor, type of batteries used, do you have to narrow down the sensor with tape so animals are in center of picture unlike stealth 35mm model, how many pictures on the 16mg internal card, can you tell how many pictures are taken without dismounting the camera and wasting a picture, red beam to line camera up, etc, any review would be a benefit to others, also what was the other brand you had problems with. thanks for any help.

RE: Stealth Cam Digital
hey arkansas, I would like to post some pics but the site is having problems or
something and I cant get it to work anymore. I will try to answer your questions the best I can. First of all the batteries I have in the cam are cheapy Rayovac. They have been in for 2 weeks and are showing 3/4 strength. You can get a solar panel for the cam that will keep the batts charged but I havent got one yet. I havent put any tape around the sensor and so far havent had any need to. With the internal memory it says it will take 48 pics set to high resolution, 156 pics set to low res. and 20 avi motion clips. With the addition of a 256 MB card it will take 768 pics on high res and 2496 on low and 320 avi clips. It doesnt tell you how many pics taken on the screen, but I just come up to the cam from the back and pop it open and hook up my batt operated TV and ck it. It has a test mode to set the cam up, with a green light telling you when it detects a target. The other cam I was refering to was the Game-vu, I`m not gonna go into my Game-vu bashing rant, but trust me for the same price the stealth is 10x the cam. Sorry this was so long..............If you want to see some pics I can e-mail them to you. |

RE: Stealth Cam Digital
thanks for the pictures. they appear a little fuzzy or should I say not crisp on the edges of the deer. what mega pixel is the camera do you know? you said the camera was out for 2 weeks and the batteries showed 3/4 thats pretty good. how many pictures were taken in that time period. my regular digital camera can take about 39 with the flash before exhausted. thanks for taking the time to give me input. I know I am asking very specific questions but just trying to decide to buy one now or still wait a bit for more improvements.
best regards arkansasbowhunter |
