Can vouch for the unidens, they perform extremely well.
Recently they have released a 2 watt model, that looks exactly like the previous 1/2 watt model.
They work well and are strong and reliable.

Steve,

You were definitely helpful. I was just trying to add a bit more. I recently bought a T7200 to upgrade a bit from the T6400 that I had been using. I did alot of research beforehand which led me to some of the info I posted. I also have some "professional grade" GMRS units that I keep in the vehicles for emergency purposes as well as two mobile mount RadioShack FRS units as well.

GMRS and FRS units are somewhat of a hobby of mine just like bows. A person can get some great info on them at www.popularwireless.com .

This is great, good to see what the differences are between the more expensive units and the cheaper ones.

Power,

If you check out that link I provided above you will see that they have a message board similar to this one but devoted strictly to the various wireless communication devices on the market today. I believe there are also several product reviews available as well.

Hi everyone
I got my Pentax 10x43 DCF SP binoculars that cost $650 and have been comparing them to the Nikon 10x42 Monarchs that cost $300 and after much testing in all light conditions it seems the Monarchs are just as clear in all situations. The Pentax has a few nice features but they are just not worth the extra $350 and they still are heavier. That way I have money left over to buy my 2 way radios and a little extra. I must say the Nikons for the price are a great buy.

I bought 3 sets of the Motorola T5820's . Two sets are to give away at Christmas (can we say Christmas on this site ?) . Anyway our new Gander Mt store had them on sale. After rebate - $19.95 plus tax. They normally go for about $90. We got them for the "vibe alert".

Definitely a nice feature when you are out in the deer woods as one wouldn't want an accidental response on the radio to spook deer.
