WELL MY MOM WORKS AT FORD, MY DAD WORKS AT CHEVY. I HAVE THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS HERE!!!!!! BUT MY TRUCK IS A 1994 F350 CREW CAB OFF ROAD 4X4 TURBO 7.3 DIESEL WITH 327.000 MILES AND STILL GOING STRONG. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THE LONG HAUL GET A DIESEL[8D] FORD OR CHEVY.

The titan look almost the same as the ford. If I'm thinking of the right truck? Anyhow that titan might be worth trying out.

I drove a Z71 4x4 for a while but had several problems with it. (probably just that one truck.) Next will be a Ford.
I have a S-10 4x4 now and it is great, but the next Full Size will be a Ford.

I have a 1999 silverado no problems, the chevy in my opinion has always had the best looking truck but I think the new design 2002 I think is going the wrong way in looks hope they redesign before I need to purchase new.

I tried the ford route many years ago, and after two of them giving me one headache after another, I switched to GM and never regretted it! My last three pick-ups were chevy 1500's; all had or have over 100,000 miles on them, and none used oil. My last one (89 extended 4X4) would still be in my "fleet" if it weren't for the fact that the tranny that GM put in them for a few years were "disposable" 'cause you couldn't get parts to replace the factory stuff, and I traded it off for a '92, which I'm still driving! It is also a stretch cab 4X4, and has 179, 000 miles on her right now and uses NO OIL between changes (roughly 4,000miles). Oh, and by the way, all three had the 305 engines in them, and I've never needed any more power than what they could put out, and I haul many tons of firewood every fall out of some really nasty logging roads! I'm a GM fan all the way when it comes to pick-me-ups!

I'd have to go with the Toy...It may be a Jap job, but it's like a Timex, takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'. My boss just bought a Sequoia(built on the same chassis as the tundra) because after 55K his explorer was falling apart. He also has a T-100 that's got close to 200K on it and it's still going strong. Little brother just traded his F350 powerstroke in on a Dodge cummins because the Ford puked the tranny at 35K.

With top maintenence most trucks will run a long time.

I own a 97 f150 4x4. 182xxx mi. no big problems. I pull a stock car all summer. then bowhunt and coon hunt in the fall/winter. I do not baby this truck, but I am not stupid with it either. I am going to get another in the near future. I really enjoyed this truck.
