Finding my location, not with a pay site

I'm not sure of how long ago but probably 5 years ago and I don't remember how, I was able to take the lat/long from my phone and find my location online showing the landowner property lines. I need to be able to take a location and make sure whose property I'm hunting on. Do you guys know any way to do this other than using the pay sites such as onx, etc? thanks guys

iOS compass app pitches GPS coords.

what state are you in?
as many municipalities have maps showing property lines, there are also some for sale APP"S that also show property lines
like this one
https://www.onxmaps.com/hunt-app/fea...property-lines

but keep in mind, most hand held GPS's are NOT very accurate, most have 3+ meter give or take measurements
so unless your working with some very high end surveyor or military grade GPS< your not going to be exact on where property lines are any how!

if you go to your county's property dept, they will have plot maps stating TRUE coordinates on property lines and show where markers are if any!
from there you can go and find them and mark things,
this will also get you exact info on property owners info as well!

GPS location

Install the app for My GPS Location on your phone, it is free from Google. https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...on&hl=en&gl=US

i'm in alabama, i found the property owner info including parcel info on online but i'm not aware of how to take my current lat/long from the ios compass app and show my current location on a map including property lines. i was trying to not pay the year membership for onx.

Hey you could try AVENZA app, for offline GPS option take a look. We use our Smt:fones "Google earth" whenever i have Cellfone coverage or Avenza offline for Forestry & I'll see how it performs in our national parks.
