E-Bikes

Do any of you use an E-Bike and what brand do you use and do you still like it? Im looking to get one soon.

I apologize before writing this since your question was on E-bikes. I had a Honda 90 trail bike once with high and low gears. The thing worked beautifully on even fairly smooth ground but was nearly impossible to handle over rough, rocky or small obstacles in a trail. Hope you get an E-bike answer.

Just saw a lengthy thread over on Crossbow nation under Crossbow Hunting Forum. Seemed like a lot of good information. Good luck.

Yes, i use a ecotric fat tire 36V with 12.8 A.H. battery, I hunt federal land, which requires less than 750 watts. It works great with the fat tires, gun rack with handlebar extensions, i have collapsable basket on the back which carries back pack, small cooler etc., what a total advantage, the walk back is over 1.5 miles, no vehicles allowed except bikes or e bikes with pedal assist. The only thing i suggest is the upgrade control for battery state of charge speed etc. also get a towable cart, it makes short work of a long drag!

I have a QuietKat and Bakcou (both are 2023 models) and love them both. I get about the same amount of use and mileage with two of them and they've held up well. General maintenance is a must and QK's are known for breaking chains, which I broke one last week racing my son who was riding the Bakcou. I use them for mounting biking and small jumps just as much as I use them for hunting.

To find a folding electric bike vbike.ca

Folding electric bikes are a great way to get around town. They're compact and portable, making them easy to store in an apartment or take on public transportation. They're also a lot of fun to ride!

Here are some things to consider when choosing a folding electric bike:
  • Price: Folding electric bikes can range in price from around $500 to $5,000 or more.
  • Weight: Folding electric bikes can weigh anywhere from 30 to 60 pounds.
  • Range: The range of a folding electric bike will depend on the size of the battery. Most bikes will have a range of 20 to 50 miles on a single charge.
  • Motor power: Electric bike motors are typically rated in watts. Higher wattage motors will provide more power for climbing hills or riding into a headwind.
  • Wheels: Folding electric bikes typically have 16- to 20-inch wheels. Smaller wheels are more portable, but larger wheels provide a more comfortable ride.
Here are some of the most popular folding electric bikes on the market:
  • Rad Power Bikes RadExpand 5 is a great all-around folding electric bike. It's affordable, has a long range, and is easy to fold and unfold.
  • Lectric XP is another great option for those looking for an affordable folding electric bike. It's lightweight and has a powerful motor.
  • Tern Vektron is a high-end folding electric bike that's perfect for those who want the best of the best. It's lightweight, has a long range, and is very comfortable to ride.
  • GoCycle G4 is a unique folding electric bike that's designed to be easy to fold and unfold. It's also very lightweight and has a powerful motor.
No matter what your budget or needs are, there's a folding electric bike out there that's perfect for you. So get out there and start exploring!

See attachment. Couldn't seem to post any other way.

This should do it for you.

After reading multiple reviews and watching several YouTube review videos I settled on a Greenworks Mini-Bike. It uses two 60V 8 Amp/Hr batteries, has a 25mph top speed, a range of 20 miles, 19" fat tires and a 220 lb weight capacity. I hunt on my own property (91 acres) so the speed and range are not as critical as they might be for others. I also have multiple logging roads, a gas well road and gas pipelines that it should work great on.
One of the deciding factors in my choice was the fact that I have multiple other Greenworks tools that use the same size (60V) batteries that can be interchanged between now five different devices including the E- bike. All of those other tools have also been rock solid reliable. Knock on wood.
Unfortunately, shipping has been a bit of an issue. I ordered the bike on 6/17/24 and have never received any type of tracking info from Greenworks even though I have already been contacted by a local trucking company which was originally scheduled to deliver the bike yesterday (6/27/24) but had to reschedule it for 7/2/24. To this day Greenworks' website only says that I have placed an order and does not list a tracking number nor do they even seem to know that it has already been shipped. I even requested text updates. Nothing. I sure hope their customer service isn't as disorganized as this.

Cool little bike. Have enough umph to haul you around your property?

What other tools do you have? I have to replace a weed whacker soon and I'm considering switching over to electric stuff as I replace some things.
