35 rem Cartridge ???

35 rem Cartridge ???

When my Father passed I got his 30-30 rifle. Going though the ammo I found a 35 rem cartridge. Can you use it in a 30-30 rifle ?

Stand one of each beside one and other and look at them .
There is a good bit of difference in them !
Put the 35 some where away from you 30-30 ammo and double check you ammo again to be safe ?

What they Said! .35 is a great cartridge but in NO WAY is it compatible with your inherited rifle.

I can't even see how a .35 Remington would even chamber in a rifle chambered in .30-30. That's a good thing; an arguably more dangerous mix-up would be having .30-30 Win. and .32 Win. Special ammo together, because a .30-30 Win. would actually enter a .32 Win. Special chamber.

I'm going to disagree with that statement. I have fired 30-30 cartridges in a .32 Spl to fire form cartridges for reloading. Not very effective but no harm done. And a .32 Spl cartridge won't chamber at all in a 30-30.
