Same two I always carry, a Case XX Trapper and a Havalon.

Case Sharks tooth folding knife.

Leatherman wave and a 4" fixed blade or some fillet knife. I have a Browning fillet knife I cut saw teeth on the back of the blade, I REALLY like that one for deer hunting.

Outdoor Edge switchblade.

Plus a Leatherman.

The Havalon is a darn nice unit also.

Since you already have a fixed blade all you need is a stone & a Havalon.

+ You might find a Gerber folding saw helpful !

If you don't butcher/process deer in the field you should focus way more on butcher knives than hunting knives IMO.

Doesn't take much of a knife to field dress a deer. I carry an outdoor edge swing blade in my hunting pack.....it really can't be beat for field dressing.

Hunting knives, the style and brand are pretty much personal preferences, like calibers and firearms. When you asked for a recommendation you are going to be referred to the brand and style used by the person responding to your post. There are many good brands and styles of knives, kinda a riches of choices. So long as you choose a good brand with good steel and with a shape that will do what you want you can hardly go wrong. I prefer Case over Buck, many prefer the opposite. I have many good fixed blade knives but I always take my Case in my backpack for field dressing and my little Gerber lite weight in folder in my pocket as a backup, which is in my pocket every day of the year.

Lately, it's an Outdoor Edge & I just picked up a swing blade. I've also use Buck, Schrade, Gerber and others.
