2 way radios
 

Some buddies use the Baofeng UV-5RE & the UV-5RE Plus radio below. I'm thinking of getting a radio instead of using theirs all the time. Is this a good one to get or is there a better one (range, etc.)? These run about $35 but I don't mind spending up to $75 on one if I can get better range out of it.

coolbrz you got me thinking also since you posted this.

on the brand you posted it covers the frs band which is 462.5-467.7 MHz and most frs capable radios only allow 500mw to be used on any of the above freq.
this version states 1/4 watts.
