Default HECS hunting suit

So is this a gimmick or not. The show sponsoring this product gives some pretty strong evidence on its behalf. But I'm still not convinced. I've been playing this game a bit over 50 years now and I've had big game (deer, bear, elk), often times more than one, within spitting distance of me literally and wasn't wearing anything to block my body's 'electric signal'.
IMO scent, sound and motion are what gets an animal's attention. You remain upwind, don't move and have something to break up your outline and you will be undetected. I have only one exception to this. That is UV light. All my hunting clothing is washed in a detergent without UV brighteners or just plain baking soda.
What are your thoughts.

I saw the info commercial......just call me a doubting Thomas. I actually know someone who paid for it. I never heard another word about it so it must have not worked like they claim.

bronko22000---I think you meant to say that the hunter should stay downwind of the animal, not upwind! So now we give off "electrical signals" to alert the game, LOL! To that I say BS and it's just another gimmick that probably millions of suckers will purchase!!!

Edit: I just read the BS they are putting out and if anyone believes it I have some swamp land in AZ that I need to unload, as the old saying goes. They also say to apply for a chance to go on a hunt with Alan Warren, like that really puts them in the upper echelon having him in their ad. That jackass hasn't "hunted" outside of a small high fenced enclosure in his lifetime and maybe those small enclosures he hunts where the animals are habituated to humans is where they tested those new tin foil hats, I mean suits, LOL!

This should tell you all you need to know about Alan Warren and his career taken right off his website now that he no longer has any shows on TV:

Alan’s passion and pursuit of excellence is evident in all of his projects. He is a gifted public speaker and storyteller and a brilliant and skilled marketing specialist who consults with many companies both inside and outside the outdoor industry. From developing themes for various products to production of television and radio commercials to developing complete television series and specials, Alan assists companies who want to connect emotionally with their customers. Alan says: “If a company touches the consumer’s heart with their advertising message, the consumer will enthusiastically financially support that company. The key is to connect EMOTIONALLY with consumers, not logically.”

He goes all over the world on hunts, so is much better than his brother. However, he's also into whitetail game farming, artificial insemination, etc,. so I'm not really a fan of his either.

I know he has a show on the Pursuit channel about deer farming. I figured he was more of a hunter than his brother.

Here's my HEK of a story.

I have (had) a rather slow whited buddy that I can call upon to help me out with some shaky stuff every now and then. I got one of these electro-magnetic signal outfits to go over the outside of a top of the line, latest cammo patterned scent blocker suit. Both in his size. i talked him in to an experiment. He's loves scientific studies.

I had him bathe first in a human body odor killing scent soap and dry off with a towel washed in non-scent laundry soap (twice). Then I degaussed him with one of those old TV wands I had in my junk shop waiting for "American Pickers" to come buy from me. I did this just as a precaution. I was concerned that if this new technology did not work, he might electrocute the deer and that I believe would constitute hunting with an illegal weapon.

After he dressed I put him in an extra large scent proof plastic bag and zipped him in there for a short ride out to my best looking food plot. I put him out in the middle of the plot. After he crawled out of his cocoon, I poured a whole bottle of guaranteed fresh doe pee over his back side and gave him a bleat call with instructions to give it a honk about every 15-30 minutes. I hung a "make a scrape" drip bag around his neck just as an added sort of thing.

About an hour later , low and behold, out came a half dozen monster bucks, all of which walked up near him and began fighting like crazy. Finally the big boy won and the rest headed out , bruised and dejected. And the show was on.

Finally, after things settled down and the buck was a few yards from my buddy, who by then was both down and out. I pulled the trigger on a monster B&C buck that I intended to enter into the record book, but I was so flabbergasted by the possible score of the rack that I had forgotten that we .... I was hunting in a high fence. And probably this was an illegal kill because I was sort of hunting over "bait", which is illegal in my state.

In case your are interested, my buddy is expected to be in good enough shape to head to rehab in a week or two. And I am pretty much convinced that this scientific study is definite proof that these products are all a must-have for any deer hunter to be successful.

(And yes, I was sober when I wrote this!)

You shouldn't have informed us that was written while sober, LOL! I wonder what you would come up with if you weren't!
