I'd like to know what in the world the OP is wearing if he can't stay warm when it's 40 degrees out like he mentioned! Up here and out in Wyoming where I hunt that is just early Fall weather temperatures where I only have on about the lightest hunting clothing I own.

I find dressing in layers and keeping body moisture down is a big help, with that said, my outermost layer is goretex, whether its raining or not, because it cuts any wind to zero, (Windshear also works wonders with wool), I then have a down liner for my goretex coat.
I believe the coat is a 10X and it has a camo velvet type finish for quietness. 1 Goretex and down 2 Windshear and wool I use 4-5 layers on the stand for my upper core, and typically only 2-3 on my legs. |
