Head and Hand Gear

I'm looking for suggestions on the best gloves and hats/head gear. For my hands I'd like something warm, fairly thin and waterproof. For my head I usually use fleece bacalavas but would be interested in warm waterproof options. Thanks!

best thing ive found for hands are the glomitts, with the chemical heat packs.
