Chiggers! Chiggers! And more Chiggers! Please make them stop
1 Attachment(s)
So Archery season on the Maryland Eastern Shore started out great this year. Bagged a solid doe on the Second day. But she cost quite a bit more than I bargained for. Chiggers ate me alive! Before the hunt, I blasted my ankles and legs with DEET, tucked my pants in my socks and still ended up with chiggers from my ankels to my crotch, and even a bit further if you catch my drift.

Chiggers and no-see-ums (here in FL) are the scourge of the earth. Your legs / ankles are pretty bad. Hopefully, within a few days, the inflammation and itching will subside. Good luck.

I find that stuff like tucking pants into boots just makes it worse.

The only thing that I've found to stop the suffering after the fact is a product called Chiggerex. It is a white cream in a small red & white jar. It' hard to find sometimes, the best place to look is at Walgreens.
