Game Camera Security Box
 

I can't find a good well made game camers security box. I don't want a cheap made one that's being offered on the market. I had a Moultrie security box with a camera in it and thief just popped open the security box and left it on the tree. I highly suggest to avoid Moultrie so call security boxes. Called company and they told me it's only for bears. When I told them on their box it also said "Protection against thiefs" they didn't want to talk to me anymore.

I found a security box custom made I think it was Wisconsin but lost that home page. Anybody have any suggestion on a good well made security box?

What a pity.
I've left all kinds of expensive gear laying around the woods while I was off doing other stuff. Never had a problem.
It's still that way around here until (here goes) the out of staters start showing up. Present company excluded I'm sure.

Over here where I live it's the locals who give everybody the problems. No trespassing signs means nothing to them. I had one local tell me he picked up stones for the farmer I bought the property from, so he didn't need my permission to hunt my farm. I told him "Well if I catch you on my property and I will, were going to dance and I can assure you I'm going to lead". Never seen him or heard from him again. It's just a shame people get that bold.

I hear you. I was once a landowner in GA. Down there if a bunch of inbreds has been hunting an area their whole lives and someone else (me) buys the land they think they have a lifetime right to hunt there anyway.

That was ugly for a while till we got it straightened out.

Thanks and I've been to that website before I posted looking for a good secure security box against thieves and they do make heavy duty models. I guess the way to some what prevent people stealing these game cameras is to put the security box and camera up about 13ft in a tree. Thinking too that keeping camera eye level is not a good idea.

I also want to thank JW for his input. Anybody else have any info I can look at?

A side note

While the bear box on my Moultrie XD80s is well constructed - nRahter heavy gauge metal, cover slides over the unit along the whole length of either side of the camera and locks with a paddle lock in the metal flange that pokes through the bottom, nothing is a sure thing.

If they try to steal it they will break the camera before they can get the box open just by hitting it with something.
But nothing is stopping someone from use a Sawzall and cutting my screw in anchor points. And I can't use screw ins on public land.

So lacing higher might be the answer.
