Newbie looking for gear

Hey guys, I am new to bow hunting but want to get a decent set up. I live in a small town so selection is pretty small but I was thinking about going for something like this.... http://tradesnsales.com/hoyt-v-tech-bow-1
Not sure if its too much for a beginner but any input would be awesome. Thanks

You really should see if a bow fits you before you buy it. Some bows just feel right and shooting is easy. Others you will have to work at to shoot well. It has nothing to do with the cost of the bow, it's more about the ergonomics. Before you decide on a purchase, take a trip to a good sporting goods place and handle, even shoot a few models to figure out which one will work for you. Then check out e-bay or other websights to look for those models.

X2 ...find it online and order it for best savings. draw length is first and most important.

couldn't agree more with what was said above. go to a sporting good store shoot some bows find out what your draw length is and then look for one online or slightly used ones. your really not going to hurt the sport shop by doing this because when you find one that you like you are going to need to go somewhere to shoot and buy arrows and all sorts of equipment. I just bought one of the bear packages at dicks and it is pretty cheap way to get started because it came with sights rest and quiver. good luck.
