Aluminum Ladder Stands?
Does anyone make an aluminum ladder stand anymore? I have an old API stand that is only 12 ft high but it is very easy to carry and move compared to steel ladder stands. I have had this stand for about fifteen years and never had any safety issues so I wonder why no one seems to market aluminum ladder stands anymore. I feel it is also much safer than climbing or hang on stands. :confused0024:

Is price of aluminum high again? I was bringing scrap in and he would only pay for aluminum. The steel I needed #500s to get paid, if I remember right. Also some people think aluminum will collapse under their weight. I got aluminium ramps for snowmobile and ATV. I have had some welds on hinges fail though.

robbyfine, the op is asking about a ladder hunting stand, not a step ladder.

I'll add a little funny here I had a super nice aluminum ladder stand, a buddy wanted to borrow it due to it was so light and easy to carry/set up he walked WAY back into a 25,000+ acre track of land, set it up then walked out, planning to go back the next day to date he has never found it again it WAS a nice stand too LOL wish I remembered who made it, as I would have gotten a few more I think but, it was never seen again that I know of! HAHA! |
Pretty funny.:D
