Thanks, JW. I'm trying not to ask him too many questions but I definitely need a list of activities! :)
Talking to all of you, I'm actually starting to look forward to this! |
You are just like me 2-3 years ago! My husband is an avid hunter... now I hunt too!!! You could get him tickets to an NWTF banquet (National Wild Turkey Federation) if he's into turkey hunting. They do raffles, dinner, and auctions... we go every year! I'm sure they have one in your area.

best advise is to take it slow,
dont try to match him on your first trip out, type of hunting he does has alot to do with it, does he hike long distances? there is a big difference hiking/hunting/camping, from your car, or hiking 1 mile into the bush, or 5 miles, big game? small game? show an interest, he should teach you the basics, and lead you on your way, first step would be to join him hunting, even if your just trailing him, scouting and such, and if hunting isnt for you, dont force it, try it, appreciate it, but find whats comfortable for you, you may like staying close to the car, he may like going deep into the woods, if he sits and waits while hunting, you may get bored, or you you may enjoy it, and what to pursue it further, also if your camping with gear, should really learn how much gear you can comfortably carry and how far, keep it simple and expand from there enjoy it |
