Good Boots
I know it probably has filtered through here but I wanted to renew it. I need a good pair of boots. Something that can cross less then knee deep creeks, hold up against briars/thorn branches, and are insulated. I bought a pair of Columbia boots this year and they didn't last half the season. They already have a hole and are letting water in. Thanks for the input.

Well..i got some rocky snake bite boots with zipper with laces at bass pro...best boots i ever owned, fer what we are talkin about. Bow only they made it 2 years.. I was a lil upset, only 2 years? So i bought some lacross snakebite lace ups, knee high-ish...it feels like im walkin on stilts...like bambi on the frozen pond. I will go back and get some of those rockies....bass pro..$150 fer the snake bite zipper and laces.

Yea I have been reading up some and sounds like either Lacrosse or Rockies are the way to go. Although, I have seen some bad input about how Rockies are made nowadays. I am just tired of buying boots every season.

1/2 baked,
You saw this - Right ?

"This boot is really only water proof up to about 10 inches, because the material on the inside of the zipper area only goes up 11inches. above that there is only bare zipper material which wil allow water to pour into the boot."

i just went and measured mine....bass pro's rocky 15" snakebite zipper and laces waterproof..will do exactly 1 foot of water from the bottom of the heel to the waterproof line, so 11 and 1/2 inches of water and you'll be dry...on the lacrosse 18" snakebite waterproof, apples to apples measurement, i get 15 inches to the line...14 1/2 will keep you dry.
i wear a size 12 and will take $100 for these $150 18" lacross snake bite boots that i wore 5 times. ill pay shipping!!!!
btw...these boots im talkin about i cant find on rockies site, they are made for bass pro shops i think.

Lacrosse
Lacrosse alphaburlys paired with their hunting socks and you can't go wrong. I wear Bogs during turkey hunting season, but they make my feet sweat wich leads to cold feet during the cold months of deer season.
