Default rain suit question

Hi. I am new to hunting and I still want to go out but its starting to get in the 20s where I live and the wind is cutting right through me. I don't have the money right now to go out and buy hunting gear and I'm using what I already have which is military thermals, jeans, bibs, long sleeve shirt, hoody, and a insulated jacket. I was wondering if i could put on a rain suit to help cut out the wind.

Yes that will work.

Many times I wear my Cabelas MT50 as it does help block the wind.

If your rain suit is like mine there's one problem. In cool or cold weather it sounds like potato chips crunching.I just ordered last night two Military issued Nylon (brand New) Ponchos. I hope this solves my problem. A couple weeks ago instead of dealing with the noise I sat in the rain without any rain gear. I was glad it was a mild morning.
