Cold Weather Gear

I am looking for some advice on good cold weather gear. Here in NY, it can get down to 0, especially during black powder season. I love it, but I freeze sometimes. Can anyone recommend some of the following:

-Cold Weather Pants
-Cold weather Gloves
-Cold Weather Socks
-Cold Weather Outer Jacket layer

Thank you very much,

I'm a big fan of either Primaloft or Wool. Dress in layers as well. Start with a base layer and go from there. If your looking to stay warm, don't skimp because of the price tag. Pay for the good stuff and stay warm. Most of it will last forever.

Amazing

Someone young enough to not know of the snow castles around Syracuse.
I heard they got $500 basewear, frigid wear outfits, for the newbie nimrods.

Last week, in honor of the new found frigid weather , I wore an old cotton set of insulated underwear, a 41 year old Shetland Wool sweater, and carried a hardly used 30 plus year old jone e handwarmer.
