Bino's for the optically impaired ;)

I have recently started wearing glasses and find that my old binos just don't cut it for the lack of eye relief.

Can anyone recommend a set that will not break the bank. I have been looking at the Red Heads online but can't find the specs. The others I have been eyeing is the Nikon Monarch DCF but it is on the top end of my price range and would love to find a set a little cheaper...

Any help or past experience would be appreciated.

There has got to be someone on here that wears glasses and uses binoculars. Any info could only be helpfull. :D

My husband's vision is very poor. He can't really see the big E on the chart without glasses of contacts. I wear glassses too, but usually contacts.

But you can take your glasses off when you look through the binoculars. Since the image is really close, you won't need them. That's what my husband does. I've tried it and it works.

I use Pentax full size binos(can't recall the model) and the compact Vortex Hurricane. They are bright and clear and are not real expensive.
Both have plenty of eye relief for me wearing glasses, somewhere around 18mm - 22mm.

Thanks houser. I'll check them out and see how they are for me.

daddyslittlegirl. Thanks for the response but I tried that and I can use my binos if I havn't worn my glasses for the day but if I have glasses on and take them off to look thru the binos I can't get them to focus for me. If I don't wear my glasses during the day then I can focus them just fine but I can't see at distance with out looking thru the binos...lol But that is what I am doing right now.

I have terrible eyesight as well... most of the time, when I'm shooting, I try to wear my contacts which in turns dries out my eyes and things just go down hill from there. lol

I am also using a Pentax. It's their XCF model, eye relief is 13mm. They are crystal clear though, and paid about 75 bucks for them.
