I have a LW handclimber for public land & 2 Wallyworld ladder stands set up on private land. It all depends on your personal needs IMHO.
Summit for sure.
there is a lot to think about summit is nice but the seat is kinda loud when you go to stand up for a shot if your a bow hunter where as ol man is no noise
Check out Summit 180 Max, it big, comfortable and warm (surround seat) on cold days, packs in well if you put molle straps on it and it won't break the bank.

No answer for every hunter
First, how do you like heights? Not everybody is a born tree climber.
How much weight can you haul into the woods. And how much weight do you want to carry. Many tree stands cover 300 lbs of weight and weigh accordingly. Not every hunter comes in at 260 lbs or greater? If I had to give up my heirloom tree stand, I'd be into a ground blind. And if all the leaves were off the trees, I wouldn't use any tree stand. |
