Canvas tent thoughts

Anyone have any recommendations/thoughts/ideas on a canvas wall tent? I am looking at buying either a wall tent from Cabelas in canvas, or a a alakanak tent or something similar. Wondering if anyone has expereince using these and possibly what might be needed or make things work better. Thanks for any thoughts in advance.

Canvas is heavy, but you will never go back to a nylon tent once you sleep in a canvas one. I am a dealer for canvas tents and you have a LOT of options depending on what size and style and accessories you want...

I suggeast you check out "Kodiak" brand tents. Depending on how many will be in it of course. If you have 3-4 people to camp for a week or more then the Caballas wall tent may be best for space, but if it's only you and perhaps a hunting companion the kodiak is a breeze for set up vs. a large wall tent. Heres a link.

Or if you want to go expensive & super light, I have one of these. It's awesome! Great for MN winters...

Most tents will do the job

It just depends how far they are moved from the vehicle or mule when used. And if you're the mule, you'll pay close attention to the weight of the tent.
