Hearing protection

I am looking to buy some ear muffs for hearing protection and also hearing amplification , for hunting . I was woundering if anyone has used them and could help me out with a selection . I was looking at Peltor Tactical 6 , Action Ear Sport , or Pro-ears Stalker or Pro-Hunter .

Thanks Frank

RE: Hearing protection

I have only used the Peltor Tac 6s and I must say they rock. They have enough amplification that a squirrel coming through the woods sounds like a heard of elephants.

RE: Hearing protection

Squirrels running around in the woods usually sound like a herd of elephants anyway! One squirrel looking for an acorn under a pile of leaves can keep you from hearing a herd of deer working down a trail 20 yards away.
