thermacell for mosquitos

Does anyone have any experience using the thermicell mosquito repeller?
Was wondering do they 100%really work?
Or do u still get those mosquitos buzzing around ur ears etc.
I quit smoking and need something now to keep those bugs away!LOL.
Especially early archery and spring turkey hunting etc.
Thanks inadvance..

It probably took two years of reading forums about how great it was before I tried it. I won't go out on stand without it now.

Thanks guys,
I will go and buy one at cabelas.Only $20 bucks!!
WOW! That seems well worth it.I just wanted to see from real hunters if they really worked. So thanks again.
I read instructions on thermacell website etc.How much do the refill cartridges cost? They say on their site they last up to 9hrs.
Thanks...

Refills are where they hook you. A refill package that contains one propane cartridge and three pads is about twelve hours worth. The generally run $5-$7 depending on where you get them from. There are packages that will give you four refills (48 hours worth) for around $20. My wife spotted some at a local grocery store last year that they were trying to get rid of and bought them for $1.50 a box.

They work and IMHO worth the dimes.

Another YES vote for the ThermaCell! It is one awesome piece of equipment. I never go afield without it.

there are some instructions out there on the net with a how to re-fill the cartidges cheap by drilling out the valve. the pads i believe are soaked in some sort of plant extract. once someone figures how to make replacement pads all will be good.:guiness:
