Oneida?
 

I have been "play" shooting for about 3 years now. My brother in law gave me a old compound and i shot for 1 1/2 years nothing serious just every now and then id pick it up and go out back to shoot. At Christmas last year i told my wife I wanted to try and get serious about it and wanted a new bow. She got me an Oneida which I love. The problem is that where i live there is no one that works on them. It is definately due for maintenance but I have no idea how to get it done. I havent found any other post about Oneidas, if they are good bows or not.... Is this bow going to be worth the trouble of should i try to sell it and get a PSE or Mathews (or some other brand)?

At one time they were one of the most innovative bows available, but I dont know how thier technology has changed with the times. Oneida Eagle has a website, and apparently is still in business under different ownership (than it was founded, in upstate NY). I would check the website for distributors.

I'm thinking they went to Michigan and were later bought out by Claude Pollington. They were good, fast bows but were relatively noisy and difficult to work on by anybody other than trained personnel.
