What's your ATV-HUV?
I have been looking into 4-wheelers or some kind of offroad vehicle.
I want something good for utilities, like a snowplow, planting equipment ect. What kind of vehicles do yall have? What would you reccomend for me? I've kinda been looking at the '09 Honda FourTrax Rancher. |
1 shot , If you plan to break ground ,disc, harrow, ect . What ever type of machine you decide upon.Try to make sure it has a water cooled engine. It does help in the spring heat. We use a 2002 450 honda foreman and 2006 500 honda foreman both good bikes. both bikes are air cooled with oil coolers that help but they do run hot easy.with heavy loads (when harrowing the ground ) But where we hunt very hilly and heavy soil. we use these bikes for every thing. they proably wern't made to do alot of what we do. The rancher is a great bike. If you are not tilling and just broad casting seeds, or very lite, breaking .But they don't seem to be geared for pulling. (my wife has 2005 rancher) But the 09 may be geared differntly. ask the dealer would problay be best bet. Good luck Good hunting.

I have a Suzuki 450 king Quad and it is great for what i need a 4 wheeler for. The Honda Rubicon is a great choice though for doing field work. The tranny on them is built different than the other brands and it is well suited for hard work like pulling.

I have a Yamaha Grizzly 400. It's perfect for what I use it for, hunting and plowing my driveway. I think it may be a little underpowered for working up food plots though. It's funny how far ATV's have come in a few years, to think a 400 is considered a mid size quad.
