outdoor edge knife kits?
 

Thinking about buying a outdoor edge knife kit. I've been butchering my deer with just a 3" buck folder. Thats just a pain in my butt. Wondering if anyone had a kit to give me a little feedback good or bad buy. Thanks for the help.

I bought a kit a couple of years ago, I believe for around $70, nice knives and carrying case. So far I have used only the skinning and filet knives on whitetail, the others remain unused, may not have been the best bang for my buck, but I got'em if I need them....

I guess it would depend on what steel they were made of. Donyou need a kit? Is money an issue? most of their stuff is aus8 and 420 stainless steel.

I have the Game Processor Kit and like it a lot.

I've butchered an elk, antelope, 2 mule deer, 3 whitetails and countless pigs with mine. I guess I'm not a much of a metalurgist because they seem to do a pretty good job for me.

I do think that the "kit" is somewhat of a gimick though. I tend to just use the large butcher knife, the caper knife and the sharpner. I've used the other knifes, but not much. You might look into buying the knifes you would actually use and a nicer cutting board and end up better off.

My friend got a $30 kit at gander mountain and that was junk.

Im a deer guide a got the Outdoor Edge Processing kit and love it, has everything i need. Cleaned over 100 deer since i got.

I am also considering one of their kits. My friends that have outdoor edge knives love them.
