Has Anyone Ever Seen Or Used This For Deer?
Has anyone ever seen, or used this for hunting deer?
![]() And does it work? What will be on the shelves next. A giant mouse trap for deer. Thank You |
never seen it or heard of it before---I doubt it works, don't see even how it would.

:hit:
Do not buy that crap! |
I saw that on TV the other day. Looks like a gimmick to me.
|
I dont see how it would
|
Wow!! I know we're gullible, but come on.....
|
Is it hanging next to the deer view mirror??
Bob |
Don't buy that. Save your money for a new product I'm designing - the Falling Acorn Distress (FAD) call. Only $69.95 a dozen.
Here are the instructions for my product. 1. Position yourself at least 20 feet above ground level. 2. Remove a FAD call from your hunting pack and press the green start button. 3. The FAD will immediately begin to emit the following sequence in acorn language - Oh boy, I'm so fat and happy hanging on this branch. Uh-oh, uh-oh, I'm losing my grip. Oh NO - I'm falling. (NOTE: Acorn language is not within the range of human hearing, but be assured deer recognize acorn language immediately and can hear it from a great distance.) 4. After the initial distress call has been broadcast, the small red light on the FAD will begin blinking. Immediately drop the FAD to the ground. The FAD will emit the following sequence in acorn language as it falls and hits the ground - Aiiieeeeeeeeeee! Offfff! 5. Remain alert for approaching deer. If no deer approach within twenty minutes, deploy another FAD. One twelve-pack of FADs will last for an entire 4-hour hunt. Recovered FADs may be reused. (NOTE: It is recommended that FADs be used for morning hunts only, thus allowing the remainder of the day to search for deployed FADs. It is not recommended to attempt to recover FADs after sunset.) |

So how did they use it? Did it work on TV? I just can't see any one buying it. But hey it,s in America. |
Hey jrbsr, I think you should run out and buy one and then you could be the first to do a review on it...
|
I also saw the commercial the other night. You watch... If one of those PRO(motional) Hunters start killing big deer in those high fenced areas with one of these in their pocket they will sell like hotcakes in the big retailers located in the cities. I had to laugh when I heard them say it "Calms the Deer" when they hear other deer eat. Umm OK maybe I can modify my deer decoy so he licks his nu+$ that may also put them at ease.

As crazy as this sounds? Dont hit me with sticks but ducks love to hear the feed chuckle? Geese too! So im thinking gimmic like the snort wheeze? Ive hunted along time and ive seen alot ive never heard it in the wild. And it scares the crap out of deer on tv 9 of 10 times! But ya never know? Ill buy it if you try it! Lol
|
I've harvest a Brazillion deer in my life without one, I don't think it would help.
I agree, looks like a gimmick to me. |
Geez, what won't they think of next. It is solely designed for one purpose...to separate you from your money. :nonono2:
|
How close does a deer have to be in order for it to hear another deer chewing? I would have to say if it can hear chewing it's already close enough to shoot.
|
lol i seen it at bass pro on sunday.it looks real cheap 2! it is meant to mimic the dominant deer! the ones to impatient to wait for the acorns to fall! they climb 25 feet in a tree and eat there own! lol
|
If used in conjunction with a feeding posture decoy it might draw an angry doe trying to defend it's territory, but I sincerely doubt that a monster buck would fall for that. Wait until it goes on clearance if you can't resist buying one, I'm sure there will be plenty left at the end of the season.
|
It looks like it would make a good combination to use with the deer view mirrow and the cough silencer.
|
In testing by the HS guys last year they actually did have good luck with it. I've got one sitting within arms reach right now, ridicule me if you like but I'm going to try it, how else would you know.:barmy: Sure I'm not going to try it for the first time on a mature buck, but if I've got some young bucks or does I'll give it a shot. It is intended to relax deer, so I can say from experience if I've got a doe near my treestand that's blowing or stamping and may alert a big buck in the area, I'd do almost anything to shut her up. We'll see.
As for the snort wheeze, yes it scares deer, it's a challenge call it's going to -- But myself and others I hunt with have had it work when nothing else will, it won't every time and I don't just sit in my tree snort wheezing all day but there is a time and situation where it will work. Knowing when it's that time it the tough part, and we all guess wrong at one time or another. |
That's right up there with the butt out tool!
Hey, Timmy, tag a bag of pork skins with you and you can leave that thing at home! :D |
Just crunch some acorns when ur hunting, save ur money.LOL.
|
Save your money!!
|
I'm suprised deer have ever been killed before without the use of this product! :confused2:
|
The only way to find out is to try it...
|
WHere can i find this Acorn Disctress call? LOL
i fell off the chair bro. |
I think it looks like a joke how much more stuff do we need in the stand with us ?
|
lmao I think with the noice you would scare it away. I dont see would buy it!!
|
i dont even know where you would find that
|
i buy raisinettes and drop them from the tree to simulate a deer pooping and gives deer a calming feeling to see droppings on the ground or sounds like acorns falling or i grab a bag of corn nuts and chew them.the dentist would love me if i did that.but really
dont waste you money dont see how that noise would calm a deer. |
why not just eat a bag of cornnuts...probably just as loud
