Does Anyone Like Muzzy Phantom MX?

Just bought 2 packs of the 100 gr. Phantom MX. Going for Bull Elk in Sept and I liked the 4 blade Muzzy 100 gr.s but want a full length cutting edge for those big boys. My bit of research always points toward full length cut on-contact blades for deeper penetration of big bodied game.

Only took a few shots. One using Gold Tip Carbon/Alum shafts w/ Blazer vanes. It hit low 4" and 2" left @ 20 yds.
Then I tried the same broadhead on the same shaft w/ 5" Arizona vanes w/ a max RH helical fletch and it hit the bullseye.

I am not one of those guys that wants to retune my bow from field tips to broadheads... the old Muzzy 100 four blades go right where my field points go (but not the newer MX 4's - They suck!)

I need to try more shots and distances but those long helical vanes seem to work wonders.

Any luck w/the Phantoms??

I have yet to shoot the Phantoms, but i have heard good things. I know though with that style of broadhead you tend to get more spin. A helical arrow will probably assist you in controling that spin. That style head is going to catch more air as it spins and the helical can actually help control it. The blazers in such work great on your standard MX3 and MX4s but i think with the Phantom you will get better results with a helical fletch in larger vanes, just my opinon from shooting that style of broadheads before. Nothing scientific behind it, just my past experience.
