Gps for treestands ??????

If you're not on public land, and the landowner doesn't object, you can secure ladder and hang on stands with a couple of 6-8" lag screws and a ratchet. Most stand thieves don't carry more than a bolt cutter or hacksaw, very few carry ratchets or wrenches since most folks secure their stands with chain or cable. At the end of the season you can hammer an appropriate size dowel rod into the screw holes to seal them. Another option for hang on stands is to get a piece of C channel about 3" wide, with sides that are taller than the span between the trunk and the uprights of the stand. Bore a hole large enough for a lag screw in the middle of the channel, run the lag screw through the hole, then screw the channel to the tree so that the legs of the channel surround the uprights of the hang on. Plug the hole as described earlier at the end of the season. Pop up blinds are called that for a reason, they're intended to be portable, not sit in one place. I hunt from natural screens more often than any other form of cover, it doesn't spook the deer since they've seen it before, and all I have to lug around is a folding chair.
