Default Scent Lok Vertigo

Anyone heard /seen anything about the ScentLok Vertigo design- They partnered with Mossy Oak to make a cool looking outfit for Treestand hunters?

It looks like a decent idea. But I'm always skeptical of new things until they prove themselves. I hope T.R. Michels doesn't see this. He has a serious vendetta against Scent Lok.

Yeah, he seems to have too much time on his hands, or was somehow injured while wearing the clothes- I don't have that much energy...or time to care about things that don't affect myself or family. I think if more people focused on their own problems, instead of everyone else s, this life would be a little easier.

Good luck! The pattern may be cool but the "technology" of Scent-Lok is useless. It doesn't perform anywhere near the level they claim. It can't because it's impossible.

Here's a YouTube vid of it:

I don't like Mossy Oak, and I won't pay the ridiculous prices for Scent Lok's overrated junk. Not impressed with it's concealment capabilities anyway, Predator would do a better job.

Yea, I just thought it was cool lookin. I would have bought the pattern if it wasnt scent lok....i could care less about that junk lol

the concealment i think will work good for me cuz i hunt alot of field edges and woods with thin timber...so my outline is pretty much right out in the open.

if it dont work...oh well....it wil work good for the snow haha

In looking at the pattern, it does well at breaking up your outline. The concept of Vertigo is a combination of distorting the outline and Mimicry (representing your surroundings). This is one that sort of covers both..it appeals to us on the rack and does a decent job of eliminating those hard edges. I am not a big fan of scent elimination clothing as I am not one who believes that you can't reduce it by having carbon in the clothing. The concept of this pattern is similar to that of the older ASAT camo.

The pattern should do well, but the quality of the garment isn't the greatest for the price, but that is just my opinion. Rivet style buttons will break (as did the pair I bought)...why did I buy it, to more or else compare it to what else is out there. I also think they could of used some sort of waist draw cord on the jacket as it is very loose and feel that in cooler temps you will get that cool breeze up the back.

Also not the lightest garment out there for those who pack in there gear for those back country hunts, but don't believe this is the market they are trying to target.

My 2 cents
