If you don't mind not having a front or side rail, I too will ditto the previous 2 posts. These bare bones ladder stands are often "loss leaders" down this way come hunting season. A simple, easy to set by one man, 15' to the seat ladder stand, rated 300# will sell for anywhere from $49 - $69.
If want one with a bit more space and a shooting rail, look at what is in Sportsman Guide. You can usually find 15' - 16' ladders for about $125 +/-. The ones I bought in 2008 have done a good job, but required about an hour to assemble and are really a tough chore for one man to set-up because they are somewhat top heavy. Be mindful that any of these ladder stands shipped from any of the catalogue suppliers will likely have a hefty shipping fee added. So the "sale" prices + shippingmight not be any less than picking them up from a local supplier. |
