RE: range finders

Luepold RX II is the same price range as the Bushnell Scout series that seems to be very popular. Personaly for a few extra bucks I would have a Luepold. But, they are both a fine product.

I have also been looking at the Nikon 550 myself and I must say was expecting the price to be much higher for Nikon. But now that I've been researching I'm thinking of coughing up the extra cash for the Nikon laser IRT rangefinder/scope.

I have the Nikon 550 and I like it, goes for $199.
prostaff?
Yes, it's the prostaff, I don't have the angle finder of the ARc, but there's not much need for it in Florida.

RE: range finders

I have an older bushnel and it has some issues with water and the battery would run down quickly if I didn't reverse the poles. I now have a nikon and love it. The range drop compensator is unneccessary about the biggest drop you will find while hunting from an elevated platform is about 2 yards closer. Nice to have if you are a rifle shooter in mountainous terrain.

Does anyone know about the rain and brush modes and how much they matter?
