As you know, the pro hunter is a newer gussied up version of the encore, now the endevor is the newest version. I REALLY like the encore but YOU have to decide if the features it offers is worth the extra money to YOU that it costs over the "plainer" encore.

Mine is great! Shoots like a rifle, very accurate.

I guess it depends on whether you're planning on getting different barrels for it. I got mine to interchange the barrels, havent got anything else for it yet, but will have another by season next year.

The best money I ever spent on a gun! I had an Omega, but decided to trade it in for a Prohunter, and I believe it's far superior to the Omega. The groups I get with this gun @100 yards are tight, and I can shoot this gun all day long.

The Prohunter has some features that the standard Encore doesn't have, like the swing hammer, fluted barrel, speed breech, flex-tech stock, power rod, etc.

I've had mine for a little over a year, and I believe its come down in price, but I would spend it all over again if something happen to mine!

Can I ask what people are paying for their Pro hunter. I am looking into getting the camo version in the 28" .50 cal model.

Got mine for $699 plus the $50 rebate, so $649 without the tax. Haven't had a chance to fire it since I just picked it up a couple days ago but I'm happy with the purchase. Hopefully it will stop snowing and give me a chance to put a few rounds through it.
