RE: Hevi-shot
I shoot a Remington 870 I have used Hevi-shot with great results! I highly recommend it I had great patterns at 40 yards!I had the best results with theoriginal Hevi-shot, the Hevi-shot-13 was good but not as good.
Iswitched to Nitro 4x5x7 for last season and I had Even tighter patterns at 40 yards! Love the 4x5x7! |
RE: Hevi-shot
cool thanks guys. well now my next step is to find a local dealer that sells them. might have to make a run up to bass pro or something.

RE: Hevi-shot
Started using Hevi-13's last year in 3.5", #6, 2.25 oz and am happy with the patterns out to 40 yards. Never patterned further than that but don't 'intentionally' plan to shoot further than 40-45 anyway.

I want to know that the pellets in thew great pattern have enough a-- to get the job done;) I can't remember the exact weights of each right now, but basically #6 Hevi-13 is like shooting #5 lead. |
RE: Hevi-shot
ive shot heavy shot alot for ducks but neverfor turkeys winchest 2-14 oz of 4s was all i use to shoot till they changed there wads used to kill birds at 50-60 yards all the time now i use federal 2-14 oz 4s with the flight control wads they put 15-18 pellets in the kill zone of a turkey target at 55 yards i wont shoot any other size shot but 4s if it wont pattern at 55 yrds i wont shoot it and its deadly on coyotes if you come across any while your out. and its alot cheaper.
