RE: suzuki kingquad 400
Cannot personally vouch far this particular model, but 2 of the guys I hunt with have 4x4Suzuki ATV's haveused them during the last several hunting seasons. Only problem I have heard is one guys tendency to "flood" his machine on initial cranking. In my opinion, that is a technique problem. The guy has a tendency to full-choke the machine, then "floor" the throttle before hitting the starter.Doing that I thinkfloods the cylinder with fuel, probably causing this "malfunction".

Good solid atv. I had one...my only complaints would be the weight and the fact the wheel bearings have issues if you ride in a lot of mud.

I have a 2007 Suzuki Kingquad 450 4X4. It is a great machine for the money with IRS and EFI. No cranking and choking my machine. Just hit the starter and it is going and that was in some -20 degree weather out on the ice. It is full sized and has plenty of power to haul myself and plenty of gear all over the frozen shores of Lake Champlain. I had it up to 55 and it was still climbing but since I had chains on the rear wheels I figured I was going way too fast. Great ATV and it was mine new for less than 6 grand.

When I bought my new Arctic Cat in 2005. I talked to sevaral ATV mechanics. They allsaid that the AC has the Suzuki engine in it and that it isthe most reliable engine on ATVs today..
