WOW...i played with a bunch of SureFire lights over the holiday and they appeared to be the best lights that i have used. I am surprised.

So...what major failure did you have with the Surefire that caused you to lablel it a piece of "Junk"?

I gotta know too because my Surefire is the besst flashlight I have ever owned. I own the G2 Nytrlon. It is lightweight and bullet proof IMHO. I can only think of one negative. . .they need an LED low lumen replacement lamp assy to reduce light output at times.

If SureFire is "junk", then all other lights are obsolete garbage.
Pricey? Yes
Junk? Hardly.

I have a Streamlight, takes 4 AA batteries, very bright, push button switch on the end. Don't remember what it cost, but I am sure it was way less the $70.
I have owned several Surefires, not a bad light at all. But the last two lights I bought were Stream lights, and I feel they have a bit higher quality candle power. If you check out the specs comparing the amount of lumens and candle power from a comparible surefire to a stream light the stream light is almost always as high if not higher. Not to mention they seem to be considerably cheaper. I bought a Twin task Rechargable c cell and I love it. $50 at Cabelas. The twin task has a LED, and Xenon bulb.

I am not gonna fool with the cheaper surefires anymore. I'm loving my browning light. I label it as junk because I don't like failures. Usually if I have a tool, light, or firearm that fails it gets gone in a heartbeat. I am ordering one of their light forearms for my tactical 870 though and I may get one of the higher dollar lights later on. But to have had that light die on me doing basically nothing just didn't cut it especially after the quality i'm used to from my maglights.
