Our company bought a fleet of 2005 rangers to try as a test project on our site. After two years of use,the rangers spend far too much time in the repair shop for us to consider buying any more.

I would avoid the Rino for now, Yamaha is going through a class action lawsuit with it. I would wait until that settles and Yamaha takes some pro-active measures to fix the issues that may come up.

How big are your food plots? I put mine in with a Suzuki Vinson 500. Everything from a pull behind tiller to skidding out 15 foot tree logs, I didn't have a problem. For someone on a budget, I think you will get more use on trail rides out of a 4 wheeler too. I have rack seat from kimplex that makes it into a 2 up. Most 500cc machines and up today can do everything you will need, unless you are planting a ton of acreage, and in that case you should be looking for a tractor.

Unless you have the extra money and or just want one, I would say you should give it a go with your quad or upgrade your quad before you invest the cash in a utv. I want one, but I can't afford one just yet. I cleared and put in almost 4 acres with my quad last year.

Your not gonna find a used UTV for what you want to spend, I have a 1998 Mule 2510, and it's not junk. never had a problem with it at all, and I beat the heck out of it. Good Luck
