What climbing treestand are you bigger guys using?
I'm 6' and 250 Lbs. I've been using an Ol' Man Grand Vision, but want something a little lighter for archery. I like the looks of the Summit Cobra XLS for bowhunting but the 18" wide seat seems too narrow. I also like the looks of the Buckshot Centershot, but would like it better without the bar across the front. Any input would be appreciated.

I'm one of the full figured guys LOL.I weigh around 275. I've been using a Treelounge for the last 10 years now.Read the Treelounge post on this forum. It might help you decide if the Treelounge is the route you want to go.

I use an API Grand Slam Super Mag Supreme. It has a 350lb. capacity and plenty of room. I can sit in it comfortably all day. They have several models with a little less capacity.

One of my hunting buddies is a BIG BIG man (We call him Fat Daddy.)He is using the Bigshot Magnum, and so far it's worked great for him.

Summit Goliath and API Grand Slam Super Mag.
Persoanlly I like the Goliath. Fine climbing, carrying, sitting and sleeping stand. What else could you ask for.
Plus you do not get cottage cheese behind from sitting like the "Old Men" fans do ffrom that net

I weigh in at 250# and use the Summit Viper XLS.Its stable and easy to climb with as well as about the lightest sit down climber out there at 19#.I would recommend it to any one looking for a nice climber.

I'm 6'2" and go 260 and I have an "old style" Doc's Recliner and a new Powder Coated New style. The new one is rated to 280lbs and I can tell a lot of improvements over the '96 model. I can't say enough good about the new one! I go high and feel safe and that makes it worth the money to me. I have a friend who has an old TL and he even like the Doc's enough that he bought one also. Check them out!

I agree with woodseye. I go a svelt 230 and the Summit Viper is all you can ask for. Very comfortable seat, sturdy platform, and solid quality. Makes those long hours go by really fast.

I am 275# and have a Viper and luv it. If I decide to switch stands it will be the Goliath. Basically the same stand as the Viper but a bit larger.
