Re: My disappointment w/Red Head rubber boots
I'll start my review here so all will know. I bought a pr. of Red head Bonedry Boots, 1000 gram insulated. They're 3 ply nylon outer then rubber and nylon inside. I have used them between 2 1/2 hours and 5 hours a dayfer about 80 some days since last year and this year deer hunting. They developed holes in the outside layer on each boot and i don't use them still hunting. Use them in ladder stand. Bass Pro said only a year warranty even tho i only used themless than 3 months. They said ship them at my cost to their Springfield Mo. They wanted to look at the Boots! I would send them pic's but thats not good enough. So their $70 Boots failed ! First material failed and the 1000 grams of insulation wouldn't keep feet warm when temps got below 32 degrees!

I'm very suprised that Bass Pro will not stand behind their products. Send the boots in and see what they say.
I don't know about you, but if my feet get cold I'm done. That's why I'm not a fan of Thinsulate. I'll always go with a pac boot.

i have the same exact boots and bought them 2 years ago... i wonder if you just got a really bad pair of boots??? i have worn them for both bowhunting and ice fishing and they are still in good condition. The one thing i dislike about them is the straps on the side. they need to make something better to keep the boots tight around the leg instead of the crappy straps on there. they fit well when there are plenty of layers of pants on to keep them tight.

I bought those boots as well. ABSOLUTE JUNK. Just like yours--mine wore holes through the outer layers on both boots. I think mine are the 1200 gram though, so I never used them when walking far distances. I'm watching for a pair of Lacross to go on sale for next year.
