Deer decoy

Anyone use a decoy for bowhunting? Do they work and are they worth the money? Where is the best place to pick one up and what brand do you prefer? Thanks

I tried a Feather-Flex decoy a couple of times. I only had one reaction to it, a button buck spotted it & came in grunting the whole way, in the mean time the doe that was with him bleated him back to her. It was pretty cool to watch but that is the only time I've had a deer come to the decoy. I think they would work.

RE: Deer decoy

I've watched a friend take 5-6 nice bucks with the Flambeau Reddi decoy in Central Florida. In a couple instances we watched bucks come from several hundred yards to the decoy. This year he added a "tail wagger" to the decoy and felt the movement of the tail was a plus. Big advantage is when the buck is within shooting range he has his attention on the decoy. Downside is this type decoy is not real comfortable/easy to carry for any distance. They do work!
