CAMO PATTERN??
need some advise to choose camo pattern
my background is illinois and ohio in november. thinkin about either1) mossy oak new break up or 2)the new realtree ap |
RE: CAMO PATTERN??
use both itll break up your outline more
|
RE: CAMO PATTERN??
i just bought a set of realtree ap's. i like that pattern the best. it is more open and has more shades than any other i've used.
|
RE: CAMO PATTERN??
I am definitely partial to the AP.
|
RE: CAMO PATTERN??
I'm getting a whole new set of the Realtree AP. Looks very promising. Some say it should be more open, but they are definately going in the right direction.
|
RE: CAMO PATTERN??
Cabela's outfitter pattern is the way to go. Will not blur at a distance. Proven over the years. If there was a better the military would use it.
|
RE: CAMO PATTERN??
I am partial to Realtree's whole line of products, I am going to say to go with the AP pattern.:)
|
RE: CAMO PATTERN??
i choose mossy oak break up but realtree camo is also pretty good
|
RE: CAMO PATTERN??
PREDATOR for me[8D]
|
RE: CAMO PATTERN??
I have had great success with the Predator Deception line of camo!
|
RE: CAMO PATTERN??
Make that 3 for predator, I like the Mossy Oak for turkey hunting but it is way too dark for treestand hunting. The AP is a step in the right direction but doesn't offer enough contrast in my opinion.
|
RE: CAMO PATTERN??
All of these "Trendy" camo's are great & I myself have many of them but you can't go wrong with good ol' "WOODLAND" camo.
|
RE: CAMO PATTERN??
Predator breaks up a person's outline extremely well. Been using it for 24 yrs.!
|
RE: CAMO PATTERN??
buy what ever looks best to you..........all i ever where when i hunt are my carhartt work cloths.....warm and comfy and i manage to get deer, ducks, geese and pheasants every year:D i suppose if your going to be turkey hunting then its abig plus. but other than thati dont really need it
|
RE: CAMO PATTERN??
ORIGINAL: BigRack23 Predator breaks up a person's outline extremely well. Been using it for 24 yrs.! i agree here tho........its a VERY versatile pattern |
RE: CAMO PATTERN??
have you considered Mothwing???? Its maybe a year old, but they have some pretty nice camo, might want to look into it.
|
RE: CAMO PATTERN??
Mossy Oak is way too dark for where I hunt. Take that into consideration. My dad and used a dark camoseveral years agobecause I didn't think it made that much of a difference until one day I walked up on him and he was just a big dark blob... We soon changed patterns.

RE: CAMO PATTERN??
natural Gear! the best all around pattern. I use it for deer, duck, elk, turkey and coyote. It blends in perfectly.
|
RE: CAMO PATTERN??
ORIGINAL: dso66 Cabela's outfitter pattern is the way to go. Will not blur at a distance. Proven over the years. If there was a better the military would use it. With that said, definitely go with Natural Gear. I would feel alot better concealed with it than my POS ACU's when I get to Afghanistan this Feb. |
RE: CAMO PATTERN??
Just bought all my new Rivers West in Realtree AP, Love it
|
RE: CAMO PATTERN??
im partial to any pattern that realtree makes. Like TNHagies, I also think that the mossey oak is too dark for where i hunt. Another thing i do is not wear the samepattern camo from head to toe, i like to mix all the realtree patterns together.
