Beware of Tritronics Pricing!

Yesterday, Aug 13, 07, I emailed Tritronics about their electronic dog collars. After several emails back and forth, it was decided on the type collar I needed. They quoted me a price, I emailed them back asking how I go about purchasing the collar. Their last email back to me was and I quote, "the price we quoted you was with a trade in', unquote.

I telephoned them within the last few minutes and was told that they price them this way because a lot of people have older units. I told the lady on the phone, Christina, that this was not an appropriate way of doing business, since I was up front and none of the emails between myself and their customer service dept. never discussed a trade in.

There was a difference of $79.00 between their retail price and the price they quoted me. They advertise the unit for $266.00 and quoted me a price of $187.00 (which included tax and ups shiping). I had priced this unit with Cablea's and Gun Dog Supply, both had a price of $239.00 and I realize that I would have to pay shiping and tax. Regardless, seems somewhat misleading the way we discussed their product and then the cost after I told them I would take it.

Beware,
dog1

RE: Beware of Tritronics Pricing!

There are some other places to look for tritronics collars, I have never paid more than 180-190 for them. PM if you want the site.
